Purple Class Visit MakerSpace at Gateshead Library

Gateshead Library is full of fantastic resources, including lots of advanced tech kit such as 3D printers, laser cutters and heat transfer printing.

Purple class visited to try out the 'Makey Makey' coding device, making artwork inspired by the Tom Gates series of books, then creating a circuit that would follow the code they created so that their artwork would make a sound effect.

They then worked together to create a human circuit to produce sound effects from the computer.

The children absolutely loved this experience, with LO describing it as 'mesmerising'... you can't get much better than that!
