Save the Children

Les, a fundraiser for Save the Children, came to speak to the children in KS1 about his role and some of the work the charity does to help children in developing countries.  Les showed us ‘Plumpy Nut’, a high nutrient peanut paste which is used to treat malnutrition.  He showed us how one pack of Plumpy Nut was around the same size, shape and price of a KitKat - yet it could save a child’s life.

Les was delighted to be presented with a cheque for the money school raised for Save the Children as part of Christmas Jumper Day.  The funds we raised would provide a supply of Plumpy Nut to save the lives of seven children.
