Story Raid!

We were delighted to welcome Dominic Kelly and two of his fellow story tellers to Fell Dyke today for a 'Story Raid'.

This was a total surprise to the children and involved our storytellers visiting each class three times over the day, walking in unannounced and telling the children a riveting story.

The children's reactions shifted through the day, from surprise and confusion through to rapt enjoyment. I overheard one Year 5 pupil telling her friends in another class all about 'The Random Man', as she retold his story with her own little twist.

Story Raid is an idea that started in England and is supported by Arts Council England - it was a great experience for our pupils. We're just sorry we couldn't break their immersion and take some photos. Then again, we hope they can tell you all about it instead...
