Year 1/2 - November - Visit to the Quayside

The children in Pink and Blue class travelled to the Quayside. They used public transport and were fantastic all morning, showcasing just how fabulous the children at our school are. Members of the public commented on how excellently behaved they were when travelling on the bus.

Once at the Quayside, the children took the time to spot all of the local landmarks that they had been learning about in their Geography lessons. They didn’t quite realise how big the bridges and buildings were until they were up close to them. 

Ask the children about which landmarks they saw during their visit, hopefully they remember, The Glasshouse, The Baltic, Millennium Bridge, Tyne Bridge and the Swing Bridge.
